hey! thanks for being here! if you’re looking to get a piece made, the best way to start is to sign up for my mailing list at the bottom of this page. this is how i notify interested parties as to when I’ll be reopening my books and what to expect going forward. be aware: i don’t send out very many emails to my mailing list! if you sign up and don’t hear anything for awhile, don’t worry. i only update intermittently (maybe 2-3 times a year) outside of actual book openings.

due to overwhelming interest, I am utilizing my waitlist in order to more fairly prioritize orders and to avoid booking orders 6+ months in advance. you can subscribe at the bottom of this page!

i will send out periodic emails that will notify you about when my books open back up - they will include a date and time for each “drop,” at which time a limited number of order slots will be opened. deposits are made available on a first-come, first-served basis and will only be offered to those on my waitlist.

if you have a specific date by which you’d like a piece completed, i try my best to honor any hard deadlines (within reason, of course)! this can be discussed once a deposit has been secured.

i only accept ten orders with each round of custom order deposits, and depending on the scope, they can take me three months or an entire year to get through! at this time, I’m booked until early 2027 and will reopen my books in late winter/early spring.

this is an unanswerable question! there are simply too many variables. i know it can be hard to go without these answers, but i ask that my customers are patient with me. ultimately, i never want to rush through a piece that deserves all of my time and attention – and trying to provide an estimate for how long a project might take just ends up shortchanging us both. I’ve all but abandoned the practice of providing timelines and have found it makes for a better experience for everyone. knowing I have all the time in the world to make each work of art as close to perfect as possible makes for a happier artist and a more satisfied customer!

that said, if you’ve secured a deposit, i prioritize all projects by deadline first. if you have a birthday, anniversary, or any other special day that you want your project completed by, do let me know! I do my best to fulfill every deadline request, and usually do.

this one is important! large pieces will be considered outside of the traditional bounds of the waitlist. i prioritize the customers who have already placed a deposit, but you won’t have to fight for your chance to snag a slot during the next drop.

“large” and “substantial” are both hugely subjective terms, so for the sake of clarification (and forgive me for being gauche), any commission over $6k fits the bill. hoooowever, if you have a really interesting idea, i am eager to consider “less substantial” pieces if it means working on something really cool.

i always try to accommodate if you need your order by a certain date, as long as it is within reason! I do accept rush orders for an additional fee, which is determined by the length of my existing waitlist and the scope of the project itself. it doesn’t hurt to ask – just please don’t expect it!

deposits are not refundable unless cancelled within 24 hours of order placement. for this reason, I ask that you reach out to me via the custom inquiry form prior to making a deposit - this way we can both be sure that you don’t forfeit any money prior to having all the necessary information!

unfortunately, no. due to the nature of the work, i can’t provide refunds. in order to maintain customer satisfaction, i spend a LOT of time on the mockup process to make sure it’s exactly as you envision it. you will have plenty of time for critiques before i actually get to work!

if an item is damaged during shipment, please contact me. all larger commissions are insured (unless specifically waived by the customer, who then assumes all responsibility). i provide all relevant insurance claim information upon shipment.

this again depends on the project – if commissioning a large work, i might ask for an additional deposit to secure materials. generally speaking, i ask for a $350 deposit to hold your spot and cover design fees. once you’ve approved the design, i ask for 50% upon project start and 50% (plus shipping costs) upon completion. deposits are applied to the final 50% to offset shipping charges.

FYI: all invoices are subject to a 2.9% credit card processing fee, which can be waived if you’d prefer to pay another way.

yes! I’ve shipped to australia, asia, europe, and north america so far with no issues (don’t worry, I have plenty of wood to knock on!). however, some find international shipping be cost-prohibitive as the customer pays all shipping/customs fees. I can provide you with a general shipping quote if this is a concern!
